  • A Shopify studio put a price and a deadline on Black Friday: $9,500, 30 days, no hourly billing

Most brands do not lose Black Friday on the offer, says Liquid Lemon co-founder Andrew Zam. “They lose it on a storefront that isn’t built to convert the traffic they paid for.” That line is the pitch behind the Clearwater, Florida Shopify studio’s fixed-price storefront program, opened ahead of this year’s Black Friday–Cyber Monday weekend.

The program is deliberately product-shaped: a custom-coded Shopify storefront for a fixed price — $9,500 for a standard build, $12,500 for Shopify Plus — delivered on a 30-day schedule with no hourly billing. The build runs in three stages: a strategy session and brand brief on day one, design and development through day 28 with ongoing client review, and launch on day 30. Each build covers product pages, cart and checkout configuration, mobile-oriented design and storefront performance. Lifecycle email is scoped as a separate engagement.

The deadline was the honest part of the offer: October 23 was the latest start date for a 30-day build to be finished and tested before Black Friday, which falls on November 27 this year, with Cyber Monday on November 30. The window has now closed for this year’s rush — but the model is the story. Shopify merchants recorded $14.6 billion in sales over the Black Friday–Cyber Monday weekend in 2025, according to Shopify, and most U.S. online holiday purchases that year were completed on smartphones, according to Adobe. A storefront that cannot convert that traffic is an expensive problem.

Why it matters for independent teams: Liquid Lemon, founded in 2016 and known for work with brands including Olipop, Hero Cosmetics, Gymshark and Poppi, has turned a scary custom service into a buyable product. Fixed price, fixed window, fixed scope, defined before work starts — that is a package a founder can say yes to without a procurement meeting. And the deadline creates urgency honestly, because it is driven by the calendar, not by sales theatre. Any small studio with a seasonal rush in its market can borrow the shape: name the price, name the date, and let the calendar do the selling.
